Aquatic Behavior, LLC (ABx) provides individualized services specializing in teaching aquatic safety skills using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. These are designed for children with autism, developmental disorders, and/or special needs whom may benefit from one-on-one services in the Boston, Metrowest, and Metronorth areas of Massachusetts. ABx strives to provide a service that effectively teaches essential skills to a population that lacks opportunity and support in the aquatic setting. ABx uses a natural setting to focus on safety, swimming, and social skills. Using a custom aquatic safety and swimming skills assessment, each student will receive a personalized plan, including goals, objectives, behavior support, and recommended teaching strategies, in addition to one-on-one instruction.ABx looks to address the dangers that families encounter throughout the year whether it be a backyard pool, pool facility, or the beach, not only by providing the children with direct training, but also providing parents with information, strategies, and specific training. Parent, caregiver, and sibling training are included and highly encouraged throughout the course of the services.
