Archery School of the Rockies is a unique environment with a lot to offer. We pride ourselves on the wide range (get it?) of personalities we've attracted to our organization and the variety of reasons they've decided to make ASR their home. Our archers are, of course, the reason we show up every day. Each is on a unique journey with archery and in their life. We coach archers who are training for Olympic trials and the Paralympic team. We work with archers who enjoy casual shooting. We equip and practice with archers who have their sights set on bagging that buck when hunting season rolls around. Those are only a few of the types of archers who frequent ASR.The goals of our archers vary, but so does everything else about our archers! We have archers of all levels and abilities. Our youngest archer is four while the oldest recently celebrated her 93rd birthday. One of the great pleasures ASR gets is getting to adapt archery to anyone at all. Because we have such a diverse group, ASR offers programs for everyone. We have five JOAD teams for youth shooters. Our adult USA Archery team trains for competition and fun. We have teams for people who have mental or physical disabilities to enjoy the sport and to compete. Veteran and active-duty military from all branches make up our military team. We even have a program for first responders interested in joining a team. Every team is unique and each archer we work with brings something important to their team and to the ASR community. A dedicated coach who is certified through USA Archery works with each team. ASR coaches are passionate about the sport and about growing their archers. In fact, they are so passionate about it that the coaching they do is entirely volunteer. Some of our coaches are not assigned to a team, but they show up (some every day!) to offer their skills and knowledge to others.
