The Division of Architectural Conservation Programmes (ACP) at The University of Hong Kong is a leading educational institution recognized for its research and teaching in the field of architectural and heritage conservation. Using a multi-disciplinary approach, the programme integrates the study of conservation with related topics of material preservation, construction techniques, urban development, policy-making, and sustainability.With the increasing speed of urbanisation and urban density, the role of heritage conservationists is likewise growing in defense of existing urban fabric - including tangible built heritage and intangible cultural heritage. Graduates of ACP enter into government, private firms, the public sector, and international NGOs, and contribute to the global discussion on the evolution of historic cities, inclusive urban planning, and preservation of historical material.ACP offers the following degree programmes: Bachelor of Arts (Conservation), Master of Science (Conservation), and Postgraduate Diploma (Conservation).
