Architecture for Change (AfC) is a not-for-profit environmental building and research organisation with a mission to change and challenge the way we currently design & build. Its focus is on providing practical advice to allow clients and architects to deliver buildings that quietly mitigate and adapt to climate change, using resources that are sustainably managed. We advocate an integrated approach to design, not 'bolt-on' measures or just ticking boxes to satisfy legislation, regulations or eco-ratings. By adopting an integrated approach AfC believes that it is possible to create buildings that respect and respond to the environment and context within which they exist as well as being user-friendly and inspiring. We believe that this is only achieved through genuine alignment with client and users' needs and desires. In all our projects, we carry out Building Performance and Post - Occupancy Evaluations.
