ArchitecturePlus loves to leave the ordinary path. Based on extensive experience, a strong network and in open dialogue with involved parties, design and project management for new built, renovation and restoration is done with unlimited energy.ArchitecturePlus brings space, rest and oversight in design and the realisation process and is open to take up any challenge, weather it is simple or complicated and needs to be realised under high time pressure. This ability is based upon over 25 years of project experience in a wide range of projects, from inner city renovation, restoration and re-use, urban planning and housing to schools, hospitals and safari camps in rural Africa. ArchitecturePlus places the end user in the centre, who is also benefiting from attention to the context. The starting point is a good balance between the wishes of the client and the environment at different scales, from neighbourhood level to building and detail - for re-use and restoration of monuments a matter of course, but also indispensable for other projects. The climate inside and outside is part of the context as well. Sustainability is approached integrally and is a consideration in which the period of use, costs, choice of materials, design and technology play a role.ArchitecturePlus is already able to play a constructive role before the design process starts and surely things along to far beyond hand over.ArchitecturePlus is lead by Berend van der Lans and works with a flexible team. Architectureplus works on a regular basis with Stadsherstel Amsterdam NV, BRIGHT UP BV and others. Berend van der Lans is also consultant via African Architecture Matters.
