Architel Systems Corporation was founded in 1984 and became a global leader in Operational Support Systems (OSS) software for the telecommunications industry with over 40 telecommunications customers around the world. Architel went public on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX:ASY) in March 1996 and was listed on NASDAQ (ASYCF) in 1998. Architel had revenues of over $70 million with 500 employees and had offices in Canada, USA Europe and Asia Pacific. Architel was acquired by Nortel Networks in November, 2000 for USD$395 million. Architel was sold by Nortel Networks to Metasolv in January, 2002. Metasolv (NASDAQ:MSLV) was subsequently acquired by Oracle in October, 2006.
