Arco Iris [meaning "Rainbow" in Portuguese & Spanish] is a 200-Year-Old colonial Portuguese manor in Curtorim, Goa. The sprawling 2.0 acre property, peppered with fruit trees, flowering bushes, lush lawns, overlooks a seasonal lake. Besides being a birdwatcher's paradise, there are several places of historical interest around this idyllic village.The house, with a built-up area of around 7,000 sq feet, comprises an entrada (foyer), sala (living room), dining room, five bedrooms (four on the ground floor and one on the first floor) with en suite bathrooms, lounge, library, fully equipped modern kitchen, and utility areas, It also has a "balcao" (balcony) and gallery in front and a courtyard in the rearAll the bedrooms and the lounge have been suitably modified to accommodate ensuite bathrooms with all modern amenities. The colours of the bedrooms have been picked keeping in mind the colours of the rainbow, and therefore we offer a choice of Indigo, Orange, Violet, Yellow and Blue rooms to our guests.A few things that guests can do during their stay at Arco Iris. Stroll down to the imposing St Alex Church and sample local produce at the local bakery, cycle to the majestic Rachol Seminary for an afternoon of cultural enrichment or even explore the enormous Braganza mansion, a mere 4km trek awayDuring the restoration process, all efforts were made to preserve the original materials gone into the construction of the house by using them, at times, for alternate purposes.
