We think people are amazing and have deep inherent value. For Ardent Coffee, that has become the building block that we have developed our non-profit around. We care deeply for people all around the world who are enslaved or trafficked, and people in our own backyard here in Portland. We want to push back on the dehumanization which allows for a person to justify making a slave out of another or for us to just see someone as a dollar sign so a business can grow. Instead of dehumanization for personal gain, we want to see the beauty in every person and help them thrive.
