Sports - Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland
Ardscoil Old Boys RFC ("ASOB") is a recently formed rugby club based on the North side of Limerick City. The club name reflects our affiliation to Ardscoil Rís secondary school a nationwide leader in both education and sport. The club boasts training bases in both Limerick and Dublin to cater to the modern professional. We are the first rugby club in Ireland to do this – offering the opportunity to a significant demographic who had lost touch with the sport due to work commitments to return in a social and competitive capacity. Off the field, the club has been extremely active in promoting the game of rugby and engaging the local population through social, sporting and charity events. The club chose to actively support and promote Jigsaw Limerick, a youth mental health support service for 12-25 year olds. In collaboration with the Ardscoil Rís Past Pupil Union and club sponsors, events and fundraisers were organised to raise funds for the exceptional services provided by Jigsaw Limerick to the local community. We look forward to continuing this partnership in 2019/20. We are regularly seeking new players and partners and so if you would like to get involved please contact us here or email asobrfc@gmail.com.
