ARISE Plus Viet Nam is a five-year Programme (2018-2023) with total budget of EUR 6 400 000 that contributes to the integration of Vietnam's economy into the global production chain through targeted support to both the public and private sectors. It will support the Government of Vietnam to reap the benefits of new regional and bilateral trade commitments, with a focus on the implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA). Enhanced compliance with Sanitary and Phytosanitary Standards (SPS) to improve the safety of Vietnam agro-food products and facilitate exports to the EU2. A national quality infrastructure is in place that boosts competitiveness and addresses technical barriers to trade 3. High quality products and services from Vietnam are exported to the EU, with a focus on SME internationalisation and sustainable business practices4. Comprehensive implementation of the EVFTA, through a rapid response facility.
