Nonprofit Organization Management - Phoenix, Arizona, United States
In march of 2016 two ex-offenders came together in Laveen, Arizona, in a living room, to discuss forming a Nonprofit Corporation that would assist other ex-offenders in transitioning back into the mainstream of society. Together the number of years the two of them have accumulated on the streets since leaving from behind prison walls exceeds almost 100 years. Within the next 2 weeks they were joined by three additional ex-offenders and two other interested parties: an ASU doctoral student/instructor and a social worker. This group of 7 now have a small office in Phoenix and are registered as a Nonprofit Corporation. With five ex-offenders, whose years on the street is close to 125 years of freedom, now help ex-offenders, probationers and parolees reintegrate back into society. We are the ones who came..."From Prison Walls to Freedom Halls"We are Arizona Advocates for Ex-Offenderswww.aafeo.org
