APPA is a Social Benefit nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging issue advocacy and empowering organizers in the fight for progressive change in Arizona! APPA's Mission (In Five Parts):-To provide AZ's residents with free and engaging educational content regarding progressive issues and issue advocacy;-To provide AZ's progressive people with a central hub for connecting with each other, engaging with activist organizations, and making donations;-To provide AZ's leftist activists and organizers with a central hub for soliciting grants in support of issue advocacy work;-To provide AZ's progressive candidates for public office with support in the form of endorsements, independent expenditures, grassroots fundraising, and campaign donations;-To provide AZ's progressive ballot initiatives with financial and organizational support in the form of endorsements, grassroots fundraising and independent expenditures. What does APPA do? Educate: APPA's content production operation aims to provide AZ residents with free, progressive-minded educational content in the form of digital media (i.e. podcasts, videos, infographics, articles, social media posts, live speakers, etc.). APPA also provides AZ residents and visitors with live (currently digital) educational events, free of charge, as a public service.Organize: APPA creates a structured space to connect individual progressive and progressive organizations and social welfare nonprofits serving AZ residents by offering regular meetings, email updates, and online lists for organizers and organizations to find each other and support their common goals.Support: APPA endorses candidates for public office and citizens ballot initiatives by providing endorsees with financial and structural support in the form of independent expenditures, speaking opportunities, donor outreach, fundraiser and event planning, social media boosting, and donations (within legal limits for social interest nonprofits) among other things.
