ARC is a student-run club at the University of Arizona. It was created to serve the growing needs of the refugee community in Tucson, Arizona, and works in conjunction with other refugee aid organizations in the area to offer assistance, raise funds, and raise awareness.Some recent project successes include: •ARC's GiveBack Kickback 2010 fundraiser, which raised over $15,000 to drill a well and build a school in Abul, Sudan.•Collecting and distributing over 400 hygiene bags for refugees.•Planting a refugee vegetable garden that supplements the diet of refugees in a refugee-oriented apartment complex.•Providing accounting and marketing services for 2 refugee-owned businesses.•Developing and running an annual city-wide Community Fair for refugees, enlisting the support of the University of Arizona, Pima Community College system, Tucson PD, Tucson Fire, and other community organizations.•Providing strategic consulting for 2 refugee-owned businesses.•Furnishing marketing and PR teams for Tucson's World Refugee Fest 2011.•Creating marketing materials for the IRC (International Rescue Committee).
