Armago is an app which aims to make playing sport at university more accessible.A 2018 Sport England survey stated that 90% of university students ‘want to play more sport than they currently do'.At Armago we sought to understand WHY this is the case. We discovered a number of key barriers:• A lack of a centralised communications channel • Too much commitment and a lack of flexibility when joining clubs • Not having the right connections Out of this, we developed our solution.A single, dedicated university sports platform where clubs can:• Sign up new members • Display all their information• Publicise training sessions, socials and trials• Create ticketed events linked to FIXRThe app also allows students to match up with others to play sport out-with training times.
