The Fort Bliss ASYMCA has been serving Fort Bliss troops and families since 1921. Since the Civil War, the Armed Services YMCA has consistently provided educational, recreational, social, and spiritual programs to military members and their families.An affiliate of the YMCA of the USA for 150 years and headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, El Paso Armed Services YMCA was open in the early 1920's to support new recruits entering through Fort Bliss.Our focus is on junior enlisted, E-6 (Sergeant) and below, but no active duty personnel or military family member is ever turned away.We work closely with the Fort Bliss senior leadership to ensure we do not duplicate benefits, resources, or services provided by the military or any other organization located on the military installation.ASYMCA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that directly serves the active duty and their military families stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, through donations by individuals, fraternal organizations, business, and foundations, we do not receive government funding such programs.
