Armour Therapeutics Inc is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of first-in-class anti-hormonal therapeutics and companion diagnostics for the treatment of reproductive tissue-based cancers. Armour's compounds are designed to maintain an anti-androgen effect in patients developing resistance to market anti-hormonals, with the additional benefit of blocking the relaxin hormone pathway, which in turn more potently reduces tumour growth, impairs angiogenesis, constricts tumoral blood flow and reduces the risk for metastasis. Its anti-hormone therapy synergistically combines with certain marketed chemotherapeutics for increased efficacy and is being developed as both a monotherapy as well as a combination therapy for mid-stage to end-stage prostate cancer.
