Born out of a love of spending time outdoors and a deep connection to the Andes Mountains of Peru, Arms of Andes is an outdoor apparel company that focuses on helping people get out in nature. We aim to bridge the gap between our Peruvian ancestors' heritage and the modern world, by creating uniquely sustainable outdoor clothing from nature's most functional fiber: Alpaca Wool, a natural alternative to synthetic-based apparel.We are a community of passionate adventurers driven by the belief that nature has all the answers and constantly seeking out new ways to improve. We take pride in innovating and pushing the boundaries of our sustainability. We dare to prove to the clothing industry that manufacturing clothes can be done sustainably. Every step of our garment creation is taken with the environment and people in mind: from ensuring our supply chain has the lowest carbon footprint by sustainable farming, single-sourcing, and manufacturing in Peru, to using natural, renewable materials: not only alpaca wool itself but also cotton for labels and stitching and natural dyes, to reducing our packaging. We have created a completely biodegradable fabric, as well as the first fully biodegradable outdoor garments that leave no trace at the end of their life! Our goal is to become the most sustainable clothing brand, follow ethical production principles, and ensure our products' full traceability. We want to preserve Peruvian Alpaca Wool production traditions by manufacturing high-quality, functional outdoor apparel while working towards making it completely biodegradable. All of this to help you sustainably explore our natural world.
