Army Medical College, Rawalpindi - Pakistan, is a Public Medical & Dental College established in 1977. It is affiliated with National University of Medical Sciences, Islamabad - Pakistan.The College was initially affiliated with Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad for the award of MBBS degree. The first batch of MBBS course comprising 100 students graduated in 1981 and the college was recognized by GMC(UK) and ECFMG(USA). It became a constituent college of National University of Sciences and Technology in 1998. Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS) course was started during the same year. The college has unique distinction of imparting postgraduate training (MPhil/PhD and MCPS/FCPS) in basic medical sciences since 2001. It became a constituent college of National University of Medical Sciences in 2015.The Army Medical College is a residential institution, housed in a beautiful campus. It has five hostels for male students and two hostels for female students. It has well-equipped lecture halls, laboratories, a spacious auditorium and seminar rooms. The library is well-stocked with professional books. Clinical training is imparted to students at military hospitals and institutes located nearby.The College is located in the cantonment city of Rawalpindi. The twin cities of Rawalpindi-Islamabad are served by an international airport and linked with the rest of the country by rail, road and air.
