Schools - Denver, CO, US
Arrupe Jesuit High School was founded in 2003 in the hopes of providing a brighter future for youth in the Denver Metro area. We serve students who, due to financial need, may not have other opportunities for a private, college preparatory, Catholic education. We are members of the Cristo Rey Network and modeled after Cristo Rey High School which opened in Chicago in 1996.What really sets our school apart is the Corporate Work Study Program, which offers our students a unique opportunity to gain valuable work experience and to pay for a large part of their tuition. Our students attend a full schedule of high school classes four days per week, while working for their corporate employer one day per week. A team of four students share one full-time entry-level position, and each earn 65% of their tuition. Over the past thirteen years, our students have earned over $15.4 million through their Corporate Work Study Program jobs, to put towards their own tuition.
