The Art Bar Poetry Series is a non-profit arts organization. It is the longest running, poetry only weekly series in Canada and has promoted equity and inclusion from its inception.• We provide a weekly reading forum for poets both seasoned and fledgling to showcase their work live as well as publicity for poets' publications• We support a wide variety of poetry styles and material• We are widely known both within the Toronto poetry community and also across Canada• We are well supported by Canadian Poets Laureate and award-winning poets across Canada who frequently grace our stage• Funding is supplied periodically by grants from such organizations as the Canada Council, the Toronto Arts Council and other national and local arts funding bodies. Individual donations provide occasional support as well. • We communicate with our public via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and our web siteThe Art Bar Poetry Series is incorporated and operates under a volunteer board.
