Hi loves! The name is Bar and no… it's not short for "Barbara".Actually my Hebrew name is quite common in my home country Kiryat Gat, Israel. For seventeen exciting years, I have been a native of Southern Florida enjoying a very accomplished life from ballet, to state competing gymnast and now accomplishing the love of my life, drawing and painting. I cannot remember when I did not have a pencil in my hand, however hard work actually commenced when I was in the sixth grade. Being blessed and encouraged with many caring and supportive art teachers, who always expected my best, elevated me rapidly to perform only my best! My family and friends are my confidence building team. The go-to people when I need advice, direction, confidence and that spark to ignite my imagination. I have always believed that the best things come to those who do not give up…This is so true for me.By focusing largely on the generation of ages 12 through 30 years old, I capture the early teens preparing for high school, the all emerging adults feeling like they should have it all figured out and the early adults still exploring life.I myself have personally witnessed the constant identity struggle and instability with the youth of today. Our society puts pressure on those who do not conform to one way of thinking. I have always been told I see things differently and when I was younger it made me want to be in the in-crowd, but as I got older I realized to accept myself for who I am, made me happier and therefore more creative with my art expressions. Thinking out of the box, so to speak, has allowed me to live the life I want to live. It is OK to march to the beat of a different drum…..My goal is to give to others the joy I receive by painting my inspirations. It truly has gotten me through some hard times. So I urge all of you to keep your minds open and I hope my paintings may bring you some inspiration and peace as they have for me.
