Our Business was started in April 2010 after we saw an opportunity to market a new and innovative idea in New Zealand. We both have differing backgrounds with Samantha being a photographer and Kelly a Property Valuer. We both have a creative passion and when we saw this artwork, we saw an opportunity to bring a new product to New Zealand that we thought would appeal to a wide variety of people and for a wide variety of purposes. Art Outside the Square was born! Our product is a contemporary type of artwork which has challenged traditional boundaries, pushing the ordinary two-dimensional photograph into a unique three-dimensional reality. "A framed photograph with a sculptural element that continues outside the frame from the photograph". We have a large variety of pieces, including themes related to rural, flowers, sports, kitchen and bar. Our products are particularly appealing to those wanting a unique piece of artwork to liven up their walls and look fantastic in any room of your house. They also make the perfect gift for that someone who has everything, especially appealing as gifts for men. Each innovative piece is handmade with attention to detail; the individuality of each piece can never be duplicated. Therefore each piece will differ slightly to the photographs shown here on our website. The end result? A new way of looking at life through authentic, yet affordable art.
