Artful Journeys LLC was formed in 2008 under the name of Tuscany: A Journey for the Senses. Our art workshops originally took place in the Val d'Orcia in southern Tuscany, but since the early years have expanded to most of western Europe. Our trips and workshops generally focus on just one art form, i.e., music, opera, painting, art history, photography, cooking, wines and general local culture and are taught by people who are passionate about their art and lives. Artful Journeys' purpose is to teach new skills, widen horizons, and allow participants to experience art and culture of a region from an artist's point of view. Trips usually are open to only 10 to 15 people and thereby offer a hands-on encounters with the subject in a focused and intimate environment.
