Since 1946, the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture (ATCOFA) at Stephen F. Austin State University has worked to produce society-ready professionals equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for the ever-evolving realm of natural resource management. Located in the piney woods of East Texas, ATCOFA consists of one of the South's top forestry schools, as well as a nationally ranked Division of Environmental Science. The college's agriculture and spatial science programs are also on the cutting edge of research and use of technology in their respective fields. With four majors and over ten areas of emphasis, the college offers intensive, applied course work and research opportunities for its undergraduate students. ATCOFA also offers a Master of Science in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Forestry, Resource Interpretation and Spatial science, in addition to a Ph.D. in Forestry.
