Since 1983, Artisanat SEL promotes a fair trade approach to allow men and women to live in dignity from their work by the economic exchange. Artisanat SEL is a member of the WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) since September 2003 and sells more than 1200 products: crafts, food and cosmetics with the Max Havelaar label as well as Ecocert and Organic Farming certifications. The association works primarily with non-developed countries and supports the activities of more than 20 groups of disadvantaged artisans and farmers. In France, Artisanat SEL is recognized as social enterprise by the regional prefecture of Loiret. The team is proud to promote the employment of disabled French workers and to open the catalog to products coming from social and solidarity economy.
