ARTISTS ABROAD is a Non Profit organization based in New York and working internationally. Our team of artists and arts educators is dedicated to global exchange through the arts with such programs as: - ARTISTS SPOTLIGHT SERIES: Seeking to equally represent artists from diverse backgrounds using the power of digital media to share their stories across cultures. - STUDENT WORKSHOPS: Committed to designing exciting, student centered and collaborative projects that challenge students to reflect on their role in their communities. We emphasize 21st century approaches to making that incorporate technology and integrate cross curricular content. - OVERSEAS FELLOWSHIPS: Sending experienced, talented artists and arts educators overseas to immerse themselves in a community abroad. We work side by side with local artists and educational organizations to connect with youth and communities to leverage the potential of the arts in underserved communities. The Organization's mission is to champion the arts as a catalysts for change in communities around the world. We empower artists through with funding, resources, and training to leverage creative projects as a means of cross cultural collaboration and exchange. Our team of artists and art educators believes that multicultural awareness is integral to 21st century artistic practice and are committed to equipping the next generation of artists as global citizens.
