We have been in operation since 1995 providing high-quality arts programming in schools across the GTA, we are a board wide partner with the TDSB and endorsed by the TCDSB. We have expanded intoOttawa, York, Peel Region & the Vancouver we also run programs, classes, and workshops at numerous daycares, private schools, and Montessori schools. Arts Express uses the arts as a teaching tool to promote self-confidence and self- esteem. Our programming combines visual and performing arts, storytelling and mindfulness to promote positive mental health, inclusion and an overall sense of well-being for elementary students across the country. We provide distinct offerings that provide enrichment and resources for students, educators, and parents: In school co-curricular drama and dance workshops with curriculum connections; In school Literacy Story-telling Series which covers topics such as bullying, mental health, mindfulness, fair play, African Heritage, Asian Heritage, and healthy living. With this, we include a comprehensive Teacher Resource Package with literacy connections;Managing Meanness by Cultivating Kindness- An engaging and practical evening workshop that helps parents and students work together to develop effective strategies to deal with bullying and everyday negative social encounters. TASAM (Tackling Anxiety and Stress through Arts and Mindfulness), a school community-based program workshop which involves education, tools, and skills for parents and students to use to help address mental health issues in everyday situations. The Healthy Living Program – leverages our creative arts education approach and experience to engage and educate students, faculty, and parents in the promotion of making daily healthy living choices.
