As Wood As It Gets is a Northern California company. The artist is a San Francisco Bay Area native. He lives and works in the beautiful East Bay hills, just a few miles across the bay from San Francisco. He has been working with wood for six years and learned his woodworking skills from a world-renowned 89 year old master wood-turner & craftsman.We specializes in exotic woods, from all over the country and the world, and prefers to work with reclaimed hardwoods. Tony, the artist, is passionate about creating functional art, because he believes that everyday objects should be beautiful as well as useful. With this in mind, he creates one of a kind items such as pepper and salt grinders, pens, bottle stoppers, seam rippers, goblets and mugs.
