Primarily, the purpose of ASAH is to give students of African heritage a voice and representation, as well as to educate people on the opportunities and strengths that Africa holds in hopes of inspiring the younger generation to invest in our continent's future. We host a variety of events throughout the year including our annual African Business Day, this year this event is being named "ASAH Summit" and our theme is "Africa Into the Future". Other events with similar goals have been organized in the past such as "Africa Rising" that dealt with themes such as the framing of Africa by the media and more.
