The ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund (AASCTF) assists ASEAN cities in enhancing their planning systems, service delivery, and financial management by developing and testing appropriate digital urban solutions and systems. By working with cities, AASCTF facilitates their transformation to become more livable, resilient, and inclusive, while in the process identifying scalable best and next practices to be replicated across cities in Asia and the Pacific. Established in April 2019, the Fund is a single-donor trust fund managed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Government of Australia, through its Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is supporting the fund as part of its commitment to the ASEAN and the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN). The Fund's approach is aligned with the thematic areas identified under the ASEAN Sustainable Urbanization Strategy (ASUS) and ADB's Strategy 2030 Livable Cities operational priorities.
