Hi! I'm Rhiannon McLachlan, also known as 'Ashalind'. I'm a freelance artist who specialises in fantasy illustration and concept art for video games. I have over 4 years experience in the games industry and have worked on a number of titles such as Puzzle Quest 2 and the top selling iOS game SPY Mouse. I enjoy breathing life into characters and giving them engaging personalities.\\The high quality of my work comes from my passion for the visual medium, my constant experimentation and innovation in my own artistic development, and my insistence on pushing for quality.\\I'm a mostly self-taught artist with a Bachelor of Multimedia. I've been drawing since I could hold a crayon and after a stint in retail management I turned professional in 2008. In 2009 I started producing RARE: The Anthro Calendar that is now in its 4th year of publication.\\I like to paint with watercolours and add finer details with watercolour pencils. I've also had the opportunity to work with some talented artists who have taught me a great deal about digital art. I constantly look for inspiration in the work of others and strive to better my skills by experimentation. I can illustrate in many different styles and programs appropriate to whatever project I am working on.\\I am currently available for full/part time, 'work for hire' and commission opportunities.
