In 2013, Ashley L. Evans created a show called Spotlight615, where we would cover sound, production, promotion, create/design posters, and host shows which WE covered the major costs for artists, and offer something Nashville's downtown Broadway didn't – shows featuring all original music. Our home stage is at Tin Roof Broadway, right in the middle of the madness of Music City, which is the only venue who has two stages in the same room. Each month, we give nine acts 30-45 minute all original music sets, for four and a half hours, becoming the Original All Original Music Show on Broadway. With my hilarious emcee Papa Raines in tow, we have expended and taken our show to six Sold Out shows in Chicago over the last three years, added a monthly booth/stage at the Germantown Art Crawl, featured pop-up shows around Nashville, including the famed 3rd and Lindsley, and booked over 350 independent (and some well-known) artists, have raised over $50,000 for charities – mostly St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and done something no one else does – pay artists to play original music on Broadway / Nashville, TN. The most rewarding thing has been to sit back at a show, and watch the production you created play out exactly as you planned, flowing from band to band, building the sound throughout the night, preparing and watching it seamlessly flow – but the excitement of saving the event if/when something doesn't go right, as it can at any moment with the live show, you just have to be prepared. As well as, watching music fans from all over the world, fall in love with not only a newly discovered artist, but from them playing all their music, oppsed to covers.
