Ashley Pearce Images is all about capturing the moment. Whether it's your sporting moment, travel moment or just capturing the emotion of the time and place. That is what I try and do.With my sporting photos I really try and tell a story about what happened during the game through the images, not just snap away.With my other work, I try and portray what I felt and saw at the time.I have had an interest in photography since high school and cut my teeth in film with my first non school camera being a Canon AE-1, which I still own. However the ever increasing cost of film and developing saw my interest wane. A renewed interest in photography came about when I was using digital technology when working for a local television station making basic TV commercials using still images. Moving onto the purchase of my own digital SLR to take family snaps and then setting about getting my equipment together to cover any sporting moment or commercial job.I have been lucky to learn off some of Australia's premier photographers in Christian Fletcher, Nick Rains, Tony Hewitt, Peter Eastway and Tony McDonough and I am constantly utilising those skills in my own photography. You can never stop learning in my opinion and I thank them for passing on their knowledge.
