With over 7.5 million streams worldwide, the 20 year old Bangalore-based guitarist/producer Ashwin Sriram - better known as ASHWYN - has surged in the global music landscape. ASHWYN's unique style of production brings together elements of indie, electronic and rock, and transcends the boundaries of any conventional genre, creating a contemporary electronic sound fused with the nostalgic roots of his signature 80's-style guitar solos. ASHWYN is currently a student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he is working towards expanding his creative potential and refining his production techniques.Before producing original music under the alias ASHWYN, Ashwin Sriram started a family YouTube channel when he was just 10 years old, posting guitar solo covers of his favorite classic rock bands with an emphasis on Pink Floyd. Motivated to continue his pursuit of music, Ashwin began to produce music electronically on Logic Pro X. Over time, he started producing 'Progressive House music with his signature sounds under the name of ‘Astra'. Shortly after starting this alias, his music was signed to the prestigious label Revealed Recordings, gaining the support of some of the biggest names in EDM, including Hardwell, Nicky Romero, and Volt and State. In the quest to create his own unique sonic identity, Ashwin transitioned his music and started a new alias, ASHWYN, with a mission to bring back the guitar and return to the roots that sparked his passion for music.
