Asia Pacific Waste Consultants (APWC) is a team of experienced waste management professionals passionate about improving environmental outcomes in both developed and developing economies across the world with a current focus on the Asia Pacific Region.It is estimated that unless serious action is taken, by 2050 there will be more plastics than fish in the oceans. Our current projects include work across the Pacific, Indonesia, India and Philippines with a focus on collecting comprehensive baseline waste data to inform policies and programs, developing and improving waste management practices and reducing the amount of waste entering the oceans. We aim to inform good decision making and measure and monitor the outcomes.Our clients include global packaging companies, the Ellen Macarthur Foundation, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, the European Union, the UK Government (Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science - CEFAS) and the Australian, New Zealand and Japanese governments. APWC is a signatory to the New Plastics Economy Global Commitment to reducing the impacts of plastic.
