The Asia Pacific World Sport and Women Organising Association Inc. are proud to have conducted the inaugural ASIA PACIFIC World Sport and Women Conference in Melbourne, Australia in 2012.The Asia Pacific World Sport & Women Conference 2012 looked at the world's most popular sports and provided a global platform to explore ‘how' and ‘why' women consume sport. Delegates learnt how to increase female consumption from grassroots participation and international representation to the boardroom and stadia across the Asia Pacific Region and beyond. The objectives of the Conference were to help your sport, your business, your community, your sponsors, and your media to influence the key drivers of sport. Raise your profile and connect with women and girls. It was all about MONEY. MEMBERS. MARKETING. MEDIA. & MEN........and why it makes sense to get more women involved in sport.Australian and International key note speakers and practitioners showed us how to increase participation, grow commercially viable operating targets and ensure the ‘buy in' of this valuable target audience.The ASIA PACIFIC World Sport and Women Conference will be a biennial event with the 2014 event scheduled to coincide with the Asian Women's Cup to be hosted by Australia. In the meantime look out for upcoming announcements of exciting initiatives for Sport and Women that have arisen from the successful conduct of the inaugural conference.
