Every year, the American Cancer Society - Asian Initiatives organizes an event directed towards young professionals in the Asian-American community. The purpose of this event is to unite Asian-Americans in the fight against cancer by contributing to our efforts in raising funds towards patient care and services, cancer education workshops, free screenings, and groundbreaking cancer research. The Asian Professionals that come together to form the executive committee make up "Asian Americans for Hope"The Asian Americans For Hope (AAFH) hosts an evening event celebrating life, where donations and support will assist the mission of the American Cancer Society. While we come from different professional backgrounds – from finance, media, sales, small business, entrepreneurs and medicine – the effects of cancer have touched each member of the AAFH either directly or someone close to us. This brings us together with a common determination to bring the world closer to curing cancer. Our hope is to not only raise funds to realize that mission, but to also celebrate the joy of life.
