Think Tanks - Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
Asian Atlas is a European think tank founded in 2020 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Under the motto of "Discover the Tiger region", Asian Atlas provides a comprehensive platform with articles and debates on the latest events in Asia, while putting forward ideas aimed at highlighting the impact of historical patterns on contemporary regional international relations. As the 19th century has been perceived as ‘European', the 20th as ‘American', the unfolding 21st century may, against all odds of the past, be highly regarded as the ‘Asian century', with Asia becoming the ‘tiger region' of the global system with remarkable growth rates, high production levels, outstanding technological advances, improvements in the standard of living, poverty reduction, and progressive economic integration systems with the Asian countries at the roots of global supply chains and with Asia as home to the world's two largest integrated markets, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership and the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership. With two central offices in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and Bucharest (Romania), and with a vast network of collaborators around the world, Asian Atlas provides articles framed as analysis, arguments, essays, responses, and morning briefs on six macro-regions: the Middle East (West Asia), Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and China to capture the attention of all readers on the most important events in the fastest developing part of the world in a way that urges everyone to 'dare to Asia, dare to know', and to 'discover the tiger region' between the Eastern Mediterranean and Western Pacific.
