Architecture Firm/Engineering Firm - Toronto, ON, CA
ASME Ryerson is the Ryerson chapter of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and was reestablished in 2009 after an inactive period. Ever since then, we have been a great asset for engineering students at Ryerson University. Our team currently consists of 12 engineering students. We work toward bringing students with opportunities for professional development, networking and familiarizing with various engineering related industries. We hold workshops that will allow students to develop their soft skills as well as technical skills. In the past, we have successfully hosted resume and cover letter workshop, 3D printing workshop, and tours to significant industries like Toyota Manufacturing Plant and Pratt and Whitney. Furthermore, we hold networking events that give great opportunities for students to make connections with industry professionals. Our members also attend local as well as international conferences that allow us to represent Ryerson University. As for our future plans, we hope to improve and expand our student groups to maximize the opportunities that we can provide to the Ryerson community.
