The Aspinwall Fire Department (AVFD) was founded in 1892 and is an All-Volunteer emergency services agency serving the Borough of Aspinwall and surrounding communities. Designated as Allegheny County Station 102, the AVFD operates two engines, a heavy rescue, and a squad vehicle out of two stations in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. The AVFD responds to fires, vehicle incidents, specialized rescue (ex. rope, water, confined space), hazardous materials incidents, EMS/QRS, and more.
