Assembly for Action partners university students with local Gainesville non-profits to overcome wicked problems through innovative student partnerships. The students, "Action Scholars," are tasked with synthesizing knowledge gained from conference lectures with the information acquired through a Day of Service with their non-profit partners. Over the two weekends of the conference, Scholars are tasked with creating a proposal aimed at amplifying the efforts of existing non-profits through student engagement. These proposals, "Action Plans," provide the Assembly for Action grant award committee an outline of the key resources, stakeholders, activities, and goals of their proposed community service project ideas. The four top Action Plans receive grants of $2,000 each to implement their non-profit partnerships.
