ASSERT Empowerment Self Defense focuses on providing Empowerment Self Defense education to communities across the country. We certify Empowerment Self Defense (ESD) Instructors by providing grants and scholarships to gain the necessary ESD and ancillary training, including CPR, First Aid, Victim Advocacy, Trauma First Responder, and Suicide First Responder certifications. We then provide those CAIs (Certified ASSERT Instructors) with the funds and business support necessary to return to their communities and establish regular ESD programs. Business support ranges from lead generation and strategic partnerships to business workshops, continued education, and a nationwide network of Instructors who can share experiences, information, and support.
