ARC is a not-for-profit community organization based in Greenfield Park that is part of a network of 25 organizations catering to the needs of the English-speaking community across the province. Created in November 2011, our mission is to facilitate access to health and social services to the English-speaking community of Montérégie Centre.We organize a number of activities and provide community services and programs for all age groups divided into five (5) main components:✔ SENIORSAt ARC we interact with people of 50 years + and seniors in ways that are fun, interesting and helpful through our senior's programs.-Drop-ins to enjoy interactive games and refreshments.- Arts & crafts, painting classes for mind stimulation and break isolation;- Conferences for continued learning.- Activities for Seniors at the CHSLD Marguerite-de-Champlain.✔ CAREGIVERSARC offers two activities for Caregivers that is made possible thanks to the financial funding of L'Appui Montérégie:- ReCharge training: Facilitated by a clinical nurse. This is a 7 Week interactive training.- The ReCharge Support Group: Guided by a social worker once per month.✔ YOUTH-Parent-child Mother Goose for children 0-3 years old.-Sajou and Salie for children ages 3-6.-The South Shore Resource Guide for families with young children. -A parent information document series entitled Fostering Communication with your Child.-Workshops facilitated by a family life educator.-McGill Retention program.MENTAL HEALTHARC has opened its Greenfield Park office to community programs:- Our Harbour cooking class - The group Impatient with a craft activity- Ami Quebec South Shore chapter hosted with a summer evening meeting.PARTNERSHIPOver the years, ARC has acquired core funding allowing the organization to be solid and ensuring sustainability. As a Regional English speaking association, ARC is chairing a Regional Health and Social Services Partnership table of 28 members, among others.
