Set up on the 18th of March 2009, Serpentina is a non profit organization that aims at making the Internet and other Commmunication and Information Technologies part of the everyday life, promoting technology across subjects and within its environment. We believe these are perfectly great tools and excellent aids to creativity, interaction, collaboration and social integration. They will form the basis for all our playing, educational and cultural activities to everyone regardless of age. In 2010, in partnership with the town hall of *Celorico da Beira* - a rural town in Portugal, Serpentina has opened a University for Seniors, called Global Village (www.aldeiaglobal.org), which has now more than 30 students and 14 teachers.-----------------------------------------------------------------------Constituída a 18 de Março de 2009, a SERPENTINA promove a utilização da Internet e de Tecnologias de informação e comunicação, enquanto ferramentas (normais) de suporte à criatividade, ao conhecimento, à interacção, à colaboração e à integração social, através da realização de actividades recreativas, formativas e culturais dirigidas a todas as idades. Em 2010, com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Celorico da Beira, abriu uma Universidade Sénior no concelho.
