Hospital & Health Care - Bedford, New Hampshire, United States
In today's healthcare environment, billions of transactions are exchanged each year through a network of complex and costly channels. This environment is fragmented and extremely dependent on information exchange. Duplication is rampant and costly. Did you know the average cost to manually process one paper Explanation of Benefits (EOB) ranges from $5 to $10? If the insurance company/claims clearing house has that data in a print file, doesn't it make sense that the same data can be transmitted electronically to a healthcare provider? So why would any provider or medical billing company choose to have the that critical and confidential data sent through the mail system where it is vulnerable to fraudulent interception, delivery delays etc.Why should the patient community be required to absorb the costs associated with office staff, opening, extracting, sorting and manually data entering data that is readily available in an eletronic format. Imagine the same data that has to be manually keyed available for posting to the providers billing system can be automatically updated on a daily basis without those added costs! Isn't it time to save money in the healthcare sector and contribute to controlling costs rather than adding to them?To get the conversation started, please call John Stanton at (603) 714-2060 or email me at: johnstanton@aassociateddataservices.com or Bill Dee at (603) 785-0930 or email him at: billdee@associateddataservices.com
