More than 30 years ago, the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine brought together a handful of key individuals serving older adults in the Tri-State area. The formed the Greater Cincinnati Joint Council on Geriatric Care.In 2001, the name was changed to the Association for Professionals in Aging, which today is a vibrant, active, interdisciplinary association Our membership draws from the medical, social service, business, academic, legal and long-term care sectors.Throughout the year, members come together to network, receive education, advocate and recognize outstanding achievements in the field of aging. Our common ground is to work together to enhance the quality of life for older adults in Tri-State communities.
