Association for Right to Information (ARTI), formerly known as Youth Forum For RTI was created on 14th October, 2007 as a result of workshop organized by Utkarsh in association with MICCI (New Delhi) and FES (New Delhi). Dr. P.N. Mishra a renowned academician expressed his faith in the youth of the nation and agreed to be our mentor.The process of creating awareness about the Right To Information Act among the masses by ARTI is not just a theoretical approach but is accompanied with practical exposure also. Our awareness process consists of explanation of the Act accompanied with the practical aspect of the Act i.e. implementation. To do so, members are made well versed with the Right To Information Act by various training programmes presided over by eminent lawyers, social activists and media persons who present practical aspect of the Act supported with real life examples.Objectives of ARTI are:- 1. To make people aware about the Right to Information Act. 2. To file as many as RTI applications as possible and make the government accountable in real terms. 3. To bring people closer to the government and thereby increase transparency. 4. To work closely with other organizations striving for the same cause.
