Founded in 1978, AFT gathers all professional in surveying and in geomatics (producers, users, teachers, manufacturers ... either public or private) to: - Disseminate developments of geolocation in instrumentation, recording and processing thanks yearly forum, publications and quarterly journal XYZ - To encourage scientific research for technical progress in all fields using the topography, - Promote a scientific and technical quality - Facilitate the updating of knowledge of its members, - To promote the profession and to defend his reputation both in France and abroad. Besides the topography and geomatics, AFT will equally be involved in the fields of photogrammetry, geodesy, metrology, hydrography, surveying, mapping, civil engineering, the history and geographic information systems (GIS).
