The Association of Fundraising Professionals Western North Carolina Chapter (AFP WNC) is a nonprofit organization that promotes and serves the fundraising professionals in our region. We are an active membership organization managed entirely by fundraisers who volunteer time to AFP WNC. Membership is open to anyone who is committed to raising funds for community or charitable organizations. AFP WNC focuses its services on the counties of Western North Carolina, although fundraisers from all geographic areas are welcome to join us or attend our events. All AFP events are open to non-members. AFP WNC is a chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). For 50 years, AFP has been the standard-bearer for professionalism in fundraising. Today, AFP represents 31,000 members in 212 chapters throughout the world working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs. AFP WNC carries out the mission and vision of its international organization within the counties of Western North Carolina. AFP WNC helps fundraising professionals grow and succeed through continuing education, professional support, networking, and local recognition.
