Associazione Sindrome di Sturge-Weber Italy is a non-profit organization of social utility, consisting mainly of parents whose children are affected by the Sturge-Weber Syndrome: a rare and serious disease of genetic origin, currently without treatment and still little diagnosed. The Association was founded to help parents in the difficult growth path of their children and to improve the quality of their life, providing support to families with meetings, exchanges of information and putting them in contact with each other. It also undertakes to spread information to raise awareness of the Sturge-Weber Syndrome in the social, political and scientific fields; promotes projects for the diagnosis, research and treatment of symptoms; establishes scholarships; supports solidarity initiatives.
